CHIP won't get fired this year because it's too expensive. Probably same for Harbaugh. Southern universities won't care and will just cut degrees and entire schools to get the next CROOTS CLICK corch

JIM has one year remaining on his deal. Stephen Ross has that kind of buyout money sitting in his couch cushions.

COULD be, brother @bruin228
But if this keeps up NO mula is coming in from the Wooden Foundation. The hits are coming from the lowest attendance in RB history from last season. New AD Jarmond, might not have a choice ..

There’s something about the way ghosts hang around at Oregon State, isn’t there?

What do we do with Gary Andersen’s ghost, then?

It’s time to move on, yeah?

This guy voluntarily gave up 12.6M? Did he suffer brain damage? Or Was he born during an earthquake?

I'm pretty surprised they'd fire him this year. I wonder if they think the hiring market will be less competitive so they might outkick their coverage.

By the way, when is someone going to hire Leipold from Buffalo? They have the best offense in college football right now (better than LSU's offense last year!) and he's 22-9 over the last 2 1/2 seasons there

I wonder if a bunch of trog ADs still see him as a D3 guy just like Yurcich seemingly gets passed over despite his years at Okie Lite for being a D2 guy before.

who isn't considered a top candidate for the Southern Miss job. Bet that req is on their website with like "do you really love football?" and "have you played or coached football ever?" as requirements

Is Southern Miss a good jerb? I mean relative to CUSA teams

Yes and no. They are #1-2 in history and fanbase...both between them and Marshall. But they have one of the smallest budgets in the league, and a lot of their success was built on being one of the few non-AQ schools in the south, which now the place is overcrowded with teams, so they don't have all these diamonds like they once had. It's probably more or less middle tier with Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, and the like.

There's certainly some up and coming schools with more to offer than Southern Miss in terms of facilities, better cities to recruit to, more recent winning...Old Dominion, FAU, UTSA, North Texas...

That makes sense. Looking at the USA Today coaches salaries list, their HC salary is near the bottom of the G5. They will have to get lucky on an FCS coach or a young high energy guy

Good hire, I think. He's done well as the OC at Memphis and Tulane. But really shows how far USM has fallen, especially in terms of budget, that they're hiring Tulane's OC.
