Attempted to watch the 1st ACC play-in game. Then, I heard Dan Dakich's voice. Changed the channel to anything else. That fucker needs to die. :emo: @CJ_24

Yeah, totally unwatchable. I'm starting to be kella on college basketball.

Don’t punk out on us wuf, just a post a go you said you were going live dammit.

Are they really discussing that Gonzaga’s loss tonight might keep them
Out as a one?? LOL. Hadn’t lost since December and beat Saint Mary’s by a combined like 68 points in the reg season.

But nah Bruh. WHAT DOES JOEY BRACKETS AND JAY WILL SAY

Gonzaga isn't a 1 seed in anything except advanced stats. They have played 7 quadrant 1 games and are 4-3. Michigan, who is probably going to be a 3 seed at this point, has played 13 quadrant 1 games and are 8-5. Purdue has 7 quadrant 1 wins, and they're a holy lock for a 3 seed.

At some point, I feel like seeding should reflect accomplishments and wins rather than KenPom. Gonzaga has played one tournament team since December, and they're only a tournament team because Gonzaga lost to them in the conference tournament.

Bilas would rim Coach K while going over Zion's vertical on the teleprompter.

Bruins have ASU tonight in the quarters. Can't fucking stand Hurley. Not expecting a win especially finding out Singleton broke his foot last night, but just give me this one Jesus after this type of year.

oh great @DeadMan is one of those QUALITY WIN guys who thinks mid-majors should have to win every single game to get any credit. like i see texas is on the bubble at 16-15. i should hope they win like 2-3 games against good teams if they get 20 chances to do so. fuck all these bubble major conference teams.

I'm not talking about bubble teams at all. Give me a mid-major bubble team over shit teams like Indiana all day. I'm just saying that Gonzaga shouldn't be a 1 seed.

wouldn't be shocked if the committee doesn't have Gonzaga as a 1. Just proof theyre watering down the reg.season as possible. Too much $$ in conf tournaments. IVY league could tell you.

Championship Week has more games (by a wide margin), and those games are by en large more competitive than the ncaa tourny games. Ya'll need to get off that bracket kool-aid.

The problem with Championship Week is it’s all matchups that have been played at least twice already, most teams playing already have their post season decided so the games don’t have a ton of importance, and the ones that do have something are mostly poor quality (bubble teams or small conference championships). I think “more competitive” is also really subjective.

The tourney is exciting because all games end someone’s season. Yeah you’ve got a handful of blowouts but you normally always have one competitive game on from noon Thursday to Sunday night.

Plus everyone becomes a degenerate gambler like me

Those are fair points. My counter points would be that the fact that the teams, for the most part, have played each other at least once previously makes the games better because the teams are more prepared. Also, the season is on the line for the vast majority of teams in the conference tournaments. The number of teams who already have an at-large spot in the Tournament locked up is a very small minority of the number of teams in the conference tournaments. With the Tournament you may have one competitive game per time slot for four days. During Championship Week there are two to three times as many games on each day from Monday-Saturday and, especially later in the week, at least two or three of those games a competitive. Four pure basketball, I think Championship Week is superior.

championship is a moneymaking farce benefitting only the major conferences.

That's because you're a misanthrope about all things conference championship game in all college sports. I agree that a conference tournament was unnecessary when the ACC had nine teams and the Big Ten had eleven because each team played every other team twice. Now, there are vast disparities in conference schedules. Therefore, not all conference records are created equal. In my view, a conference tournament champion is less ridiculous than a team winning the regular season championship because they were lucky enough to play Rutgers and Penn State four times, while another team played Michigan and Michigan State four times.

Michigan's box scores against Iowa and Minnesota are basically pornographic. No player on Iowa or Minnesota even got above a 100 ORTG.

Too bad we'll lose to MSU tomorrow again. Sigh.

Michigan is a 2 seed whether they win or lose. That said, a B1G Tournament three-peat would be nice.
