Wow, pretty shocked when I read that last night late. If you would have told me that one of the wwe hall of fame inductee's would die after the show, I would have bet you any amount of money it would have been scott hall. RIP warrior.

Looks like he's going to faint. And look how red he is. Terrible. But really went out the most epic way possible.

Apparently Undertaker had a concussion during his match with Lesnar at WrestleMania. Junk match, but considering the circumstances I understand. Still just shocked that they picked Lesnar to beat the Streak, but then again it's pretty logical that a UFC Heavyweight Champion could take a 49 year old man down.

THANK YOU Dermott McHeshi
I'm too young to remember Ultimate Warriors WWF days (at least his glory days) but I vividly remember my dad telling me stories about him. MY dad is a big wrestling fan and always used to say he thought as a pure wrestler he was the best of the 80s.

I do remember when Warrior came to WCW and how bizarre it was. I read the only reason he came to WCW was Hogan wanted to beat him clean. They paid him a ton of money for basically a couple of matches. I re-watched a lot of the youtube clips and it was certainly strange but when he first came out was awesome. They just ruined it with a 10 minute speaking bit. Pathetic how awesome WCW could've been….

Very sad that once Hellwig made up with WWF and came back he passed away. At least he was at peace.

i learned something today. Im so removed from wrestling, I had no idea how bad it had gotten or maybe it was always like this and I was too naive to even think these guys had lives outside of the sport

So im listening to The Herd on my drive home and he brought up an EXCELLENT pov regarding wrestling. He was saying how he received some "hate" mail b/c he basically didnt pay homage to the ultimate warrior's death. He did say his heart went out to his daughters but here's where he dropped some knowledge. The mouthbreathers were saying he didnt care about the "sport". His rebuttal was that Vince M didnt care about the sport. I didnt know they tried to unionize and he threatened to fire them. And also, he makes them sign independent contracts yet they cant go wrestle for anyone one else (is there still competition?). He does this to avoid having to pay social security for them and then on top of them, they pay some sort of 15% tax for being an independent or self employed? (im a bit hazy here)

WOW. Talk about a dick move.

Is any of this still going on?

Pretty sure they are still considered independent contractors (no benefits? I think there is a wellness program for their inevitable substance abuse). There will always be competition. TNA is the biggest competition at this point.

Who the fuck listens to The Herd

Also, can't believe this guy made it longer than Warrior

Shit chase. I listen to the herd. And? What does that have to do with the perspective? Do you agree or disagree that was a dick move by Vince? I came here because I don't know if Herd was speaking retrospectively or introspectively.

Chase uses the word lizard the way normal people use #brother

Disregard Chase, acquire currency

He has the reading comprehension of a duck billed platypus if he hasn't noticed that lizard is a metaphor for a child molesting psychopath

I'm not really sure what Vince McMahon does or doesn't do regarding their contracts/health benefits. I believe he signs most older wrestlers to 'legends contracts' to pay them with odd time jobs (like how Ric Flair is a bankrupt wife beater, but they brought him back for a legends deal). I do know they foot the bill when all former WWE wrestlers have to go into rehab. As for wrestling as a 'sport'.. it seems that with mainstream media it's just a step above from porn. I would say that Vince has done far more better than worse towards WWE employees/the wrestling business. And they don't really have competition, I believe TNA gets like a .3 rating and I believe they will be going bankrupt sooner than later.

At least the Herd is better than Mike & Mike doe.

Yes, not letting them unionize is a dick move, but the bigger problem is that the wrestlers can't get on the same page as far as creating a unified front. They just cut each other's throats, Game of Thrones style.
Cowherd loses so much credibility by calling wrestling fans, mouth breathers, Booger eaters, etc.

see, why didn't you post this as your initial response?

As I said in my previous post, when i watched wrestling, i never thought of it as a business, so I never thought twice about what these guys did from week to week when they weren't in the ring. While i think Vince has done some "good" for them, I still put him in the category with producers of reality shows that basically pull all the strings and pay you peanuts in the process. Sure being on the show brings you exposure, but at what cost?

Well, Im not defending him or anything but he reported a demographic statistic regarding the people who actually watch the "sport" in comparison to other sports and...believe it or not, i think he was spot on. I would like to think people here are in the minority and definitely don't qualify as booger eaters, but he does acknowledge that, but the people here aren't the target demographic.

My ex and I watched a documentary on Perfect, and she said he was hot. I never thought of wrestlers as being handsome or ugly until that moment. I sort of think of wrestlers as GI Joe cartoon characters, and that's probably why I can't get into modern day wrestling.

I think it's only guys who were featured at Mania (and still not all of them - Dino Bravo, Kerry Von Erich, etc, come to mind)

They are leaving out WCW greats like Flyin Brian Pillman

Definitely leaving out guys like Benoit

Maybe the artist thinks they in Hell? I anxiously await the Hell mural showing them snorting lines in a scrip club

Ok. So he shouldn't talk about it at all then. He obviously is biased as fuck and doesn't have clue one about how the game works. There are a lot better talk show hosts that don't talk about "sports" that they don't have a clue about.

Cowherd couldn't carry Mike Francesa's jock. He couldn't even carry Joe Beningo's.

You ever been to a BW3 during a WWE PPV event? Holy fuck.

No, I hide my wrestling fandom.

You ever been to BW3 during anything doe? Maybe it's just me, but the place is way too loud and I just don't enjoy the experience of going there.

Yeah, we went because the Daytona 500 had been rain delayed, and we didn't have DirecTV at the house yet. Didn't think anyone would be there on a Sunday night. I had no clue a WWE PPV was on. Holy fucking sweatpants. Never seen so many fat virgin guys in all my life.

I don't know. I couldn't give a fuck about what Cowherd thinks tho.

In other news, WWE signed Shawne Merriman to be an announcer and eventually be a wrestler. Worked well for WCW with Steve McMichael.
