No thread? Reely looking forward to Bosnia-Argentina. I think they both ultimately advance. Nigeria will challenge with their speed but they don't have enough finishers IMO. Moses is fun to watch doe. Iran... Lol.

They have some really skilled players, but probably not enough.

Dzeko and Pjanic will light things up. Argentina's defense is passable at best and in reality really suspect, including their GK who has played something like 3 competitive games this past year. But Bosnia has defensive problems too, and will probably sit back and try and stop Argentina more than go on the attack. 3-2 maybe?

Bosnia has a cool story to follow regardless. The floods, first time in the WC, very tumultous religious/ethnic situation at home. And of course, a couple of star players who can turn this tournament on it's head in a flash.

Lol, Romero almost messed it up. Argentina going to be out in the 16 or Quarters because of him, book it

Aguero is terrible, Argentina's defense looks like it's about to implode. As I said, Round of 16 or Quarters at best.

Charge on!
Messi had to seriously Messi to get Argentina a non-accidental goal...just need some more precision on the attack from Bosnia and they might stun France in the Round of 16 and give Germany a go in the quarters. I'll be shocked if Bosnia doesn't boss Iran and Nigeria. They've just got to have more precision on their shots and crosses and quit taking ridiculously long shots that are low percentage at best. Several bad decisions to take low percentage shots instead of keeping the attack alive.

Apparently Iran is even worse than Greece defensively. We'll see. I'm thinking this one is going to be ugly, 1-0 or something. May skip it altogether.

Iran is one of those tough teams to get a handle on, since so many of their players are domestic and we've never seen them. Dejagh is pretty good, and Nekounam has been for a long time- he's 33 now, though. After that, it's a mystery.

He's Serbian. City had a Montengrin center-back, Stefan Savic, who they traded as part of the deal to bring Nastasic to City.

Sidenote, if Yugoslavia was still together (yes I know, impossible), it'd probably be one of the top 5 teams at this tournament.

If you had Yugo instead of Bosnia, they'd definitely be a threat to go deep in the tourney. I'm sure I left off some legit guys, but this is some serious talent just from quick scanning the national teams of Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Kosovo. Had to leave off guys like Olic who are playing well just because of their age.

1. GK Asmir Begovic (Bosnia - Stoke City)
2. GK Samir Handanovic (Slovenia - Inter)
3. GK Danijel Subasic (Croatia - Monaco)
4. DF Emir Spahic (Bosnia - 1899 Hoffenheim)
5. DF Branislav Ivanovic (Serbia - Chelsea)
6. DF Aleksandr Kolarov (Serbia - Manchester City)
7. DF Dejan Lovgren (Croatia - Southampton)
8. DF Vedran Corluka (Croatia - Lokomotiv)
9. DF Milso Brecko (Slovenia - Cologne)
10. DF Matija Nastasić (Serbia - Manchester City)
11. MF David Babunski (Macedonia - Barca B) (just to have a single Macedonian)
12. MF Enis Alushi (Kosovo - Kaiserlautern) (just to have a single Kosovar)
13. MF Sejad Salihovic (Bosnia - 1899 Hoffenheim)
14. MF Zoran Tosic (Serbia - CSKA Moscow)
15. MF Miralem Pjanic (Bosnia - Roma)
16. MF Nemanja Matic (Serbia - Chelsea)
17. MF Senad Lusic (Bosnia - Lazio)
18. MF Luka Modric (Croatia - Real Madrid)
19. MF Valter Birsa (Slovenia -Inter)
20. FW Stevan Jovetic (Montenegro - Manchester City)
21. FW Mario Mandzukic (Croatia - Bayern)
22. FW Vedad Ibisevic (Bosnia - Stuttgart)
23. FW Edin Dzeko (Bosnia - Manchester City)

If Yugoslavia were still together, that team probably also has Zlatan, Januzaj, and half the Swiss team. Lawd.

Too bad everyone would hate each other too much and would probably bomb out like France in 2010.
