Barcelona v Napoli
Zenit v Betis
Dortmund v Rangers

New UCL Draw

Salzburg v Bayern
Sporting v Manchester City
Benfica v Ajax
Chelsea v Lille
Atletico v Manchester United
Villarreal v Juventus
Internazionale v Liverpool
Paris v Real Madrid

Arguably the two biggest clubs outside the top five meet up, Liverpool goes to San Siro again, Ronaldo faces Atletico and Messi faces Real Madrid again.

EL Draw

Sevilla v Dinamo Zagreb
Atalanta v Olympiakos
Leipzig v Real Sociedad
Barcelona v Napoli
Zenit v Betis
Dortmund v Rangers
Sheriff v Braga
Porto v Lazio

Byes to Round of 16: Crvena zvezda, Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Leverkusen, Lyon, Monaco, Spartak Moskva, West Ham

ECL Draw

Marseille v Qarabag
PSV v Maccabi Tel-Aviv
Fenerbahce v Slavia Praha
Midtjylland v PAOK
Leicester v Randers
Celtic v Bodo Glimt
Sparta Praha v Partizan
Rapid Wien v Tottenham/Vitesse

Byes to Round of 16: AZ, Basel, Feyenoord, Gent, København, LASK, Rennes, Roma

Teams left in Europe by country:

7: Spain
6 or 7: England
6: France, Italy
5: Germany
4 or 5: Netherlands
4: Portugal
3: Austria, Denmark
2: Czech Republic, Greece, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Turkey
1: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Croatia, Israel, Moldova, Norway, Switzerland

Belgium, Russia and Ukraine probably going to take a hit with their coefficient while the Dutch should see theirs improve.

So 4/5 of the big five leagues in Europe are pretty much done and Italy could be getting there.

Might be a good time to watch leagues outside the big five.

It’s a two way race between Porto and Sporting in Portugal. The big three in the Netherlands are in a race and in Belgium a team that hasn’t won a championship in 87 years could finally win one.

UEFA is moving the CL final out of St. Petersburg for obvious reasons.

The Final is now at the Stade de France in Paris/Saint-Denis. Can’t believe it’s been 16 years since the last final.

Europa League Draw:

Rangers - Crvena Zvezda
Braga - Monaco
Porto - Lyon
Atalanta - Leverkusen
Sevilla - West Ham
Barcelona - Galatasaray
Leipzig - Spartak Moskva
Betis - Frankfurt

Europa Conference League Draw:

Marseille - Basel
Leicester - Rennes
PAOK - Gent
Vitesse - Roma
PSV - København
Slavia Praha - LASK
Bodo/Glimt - AZ
Partizan - Feyenoord

Also neutral sites for Russia or Ukraine home games. This goes for club and country.

North vs. South in the UCL Draw.

(In bracket order)

Benfica - Liverpool
Villarreal - Bayern

Manchester City - Atletico
Chelsea - Real Madrid

Europa League Draw

West Ham - Lyon
Frankfurt - Barcelona

Leipzig - Atalanta
Braga - Rangers

Tough match up for the Dragons, the Galaxy are always tough at home. Frankfurt are the Patriots of…sorry had some WLAF/NFLE/ELF flashbacks there.

Europa Conference League Draw

Leicester - PSV
Bodo/Glimt - Roma

Feyenoord - Slavia Praha
Marseille - PAOK

More former winners of the European Cup/Champions League in the ECL than in the EL.

Teams left in Europe by country:

5 - England
4 - Spain
3 - Germany
2 - France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal
1 - Czech Republic, Greece, Norway, Scotland

Hope everyone enjoyed the last Berlin Derby in the Bundesliga for awhile.

There’s a pretty good 2.Bundesliga promotion race if anyone is interested.

THANK YOU Dermott McHeshi

Dest absolutely horrific on the 3rd goal.

The level of talent on that team is ridiculously low for all the money they've spent.

I’d like to tell you about the game but I let a couple of Frankfurt fans in my house to watch the game for $50 while I ran errands and did some stuff for work.

Just some thoughts.

Eric Garcia is actually a microcosm of Barcelona since the start of the year to today. That said, his mistakes usually are of the WTF/catastrophe variety.

He wasn’t even the worst defender today either. Mingueza just isn’t very good and Jodi Alba is cooked because there’s no cover for him at LB.

Just give Pedri the rest of the year off. Especially if the hamstring injury is as bad as it looks. Gavi wasn’t great either but I’ll give him a pass. De Jong isn’t 100% percent and Busquets can’t cover the ground he used too.

I like Ferran Torres but man he can’t finish likes he does for Spain. Aubameyang is a stop gap for the lack of a striker. Who knows what’s going on with Dembele? He’s been pretty good ever since Koeman left. Is he playing well because he wants to stay or because he wants to leave?

Remember though this is still year one of a post-Messi/Bartomeu rebuild. These things happen with a young team. They did beat Real Madrid, Atletico and Sevilla in the last two months and there’s still a lot of young talent on this team.

Tonight does suck though.

Isn't Obamayang like 35 and didn't they already make basically the same mistake with Henry like 10 years ago?

This is different. Henry was still useful and played a big part in the 08/09 treble.

Aubameyang is a marriage of convenience. A player desperate to leave with a club in desperate for striker. He hasn’t been bad but he’s not a long term solution.

I think City will be fine in the return to Madrid, but hope we’re not kicking ourselves all summer for not putting up 5+ yesterday.
