State's offense is atrocious. App's defense is atrocious and Boone is underwater. CSU is about an impotent as a wannabe P5 program can be. I tried to immerse myself in CFB again this year gents but this isn't much fun.

Late night JEANTY is all I got

Yeah Ole Miss was real good back then. Hint, they've never been good. Ole Miss sucks. They should be savoring every moment they have Kiffin because when he goes to Florida, they will be back to Ole Piss values and being 5-7 in perpetuity.

I feel like Clemson losing one blowout and winning 3 blowouts should not have them in the same spot as Maryland lmfao

Sonny Cumbie at LaTech is also a huge dud.

I wonder if Minshew will want to coach, feel like everyone enjoys his shtick where he can pretty easily get a traditional media job or some Barstool type job depending on if that's what he wants

Obviously playing and coaching are two different things but kinda wild that one of Leach's winningest QBs is seemingly a dud as a coach

I was almost sad when Card chose Purdue over Illinois... not sad now. Think firing Graham was the obvious move but mid season it ain't guaranteed to improve.

Not sure Walters will last much longer either. They look like shit for a team that was just in the Big Ten title game 2 years ago

He gets a pass this year, but next year they need results. He was a low risk high potential hire. I think he has the cops for it, he just wasn't quite ready and possibly not enough connections. The guys who followed them there were guys Bret was obviously OK parting with. He chose Aaron Henry over Kevin Kane for DC for a reason. His contract is absolute pennies and the expectations weren't meant to be immediate success. Next year is basically bowl game or bust. And another year with Harrell was too much of a gamble.

imo there should be fewer 2-3 year firings for the midlevel progrums. you now have an actual chance to build a team for a couple years and have a good shot at a PALOFF run every 3-4 years. which should be the real expectation at any school but the BLUE BLOODS like why the fuck are teams like PURDONT signing 24 year old COVID qbs.

think of the DICK ROD wvu teams or kansas under CUPCAKE. boise state, kansas state, cal under tedford, etc. probably a ton of examples of legit top ten teams in the past 20 years that legitimately could make nosie in this paloff format.

Yeah but someone like pat white or Steve slaton would have been offered a milly to go play at Texas or tennessee. Their stars would get porched.

100%

If you aren’t a perennial contender you’re a window team and if you’re a window team that fires a corch after just a few years you’re fucking dumb.

The Fightin' Stallions were gifted 4 home games to start the season. First road games are always rough, more so if you are one dimensional on offense.

Re: Georgia over bama he thinks they’d be a slight favorite over bama on a neutral field idk

One thing to keep in mind is that he is affiliated with Fanduel now, his MODEL is pretty close to VEGAS.

The G5 games that make me go "hmm that seems notable" report

Tulane at UAB - Tulane made a pretty huge statement beating the hell out of USF and will look to move to 2-0 in conference play against the fighting Dilfers.

Sam Houston at UTEP - SHSU's second year in FBS is already going much better than year one and their 4-1 record is already better than last year's 3-9 record. They're unbeaten against the G5, only losing to UCF, and will now look move to 5-1 at the Sun Bowl against winless UTEP.

Miami OH at Toledo - The rematch of last year's MAC title game, Toledo's looked much better entering this game compared to a Miami OH team that needed overtime to escape UMass

Utah State at Boise - Not expecting anything close here but for as long as Jeanty is a serious Heisman candidate and Boise's only loss is to Oregon, they're gonna be worth monitoring for both the Heisman race and the G5 playoff spot race

This really is a massive week for byes, CUSA only has 4 of its 10 teams in action as an example lol

This is the issue with the SEC. None of these teams have played anybody or have a proven track record except for Georgia but South Carolina should be ranked for beating Kentucky because Kentucky beat ole Miss who also hasn’t played anybody, etc. etc.

Nah we have some for nuance here. I’m just saying that you can’t or shouldn’t rank every SEC team. It just turns into a circle jerk every year.
