The blazers look relatively credible so far. They have two main issues that they need to clean up: turnovers and their weak side defensive rotations. Mainly the defensive rotations. They’re letting opponents get a lot of open 3s. Memphis shot 46% last night from 3. It was hard to watch at times.
Otherwise they do look good. Lots of reasons to be happy with their play so far. Lots of encouraging stuff going on and the statistical profile so far is intriguing.
Portland is playing without Lillard right now so we’ll see how the next few games play out, and GP is set to enter the rotation around 11/15, maybe he helps with the defensive rotations idk.
Even if all they do is clean up some of the sloppiness with the unforced errors leading to turnovers and whatnot they’re probably a middle to lower seed in da playoffs, 4-6ish. This team isn’t going to advance past the second round in its current iteration doe.
I don’t see a lot of obvious moves but the blazers almost look like they have enough assets to be able to make a trade near the deadline. Maybe they finally make a big move idk. That’s probably a bit optimistic given their history but, hey, at least Olshey is gone.
