Time to take over for BUMBROWSKI and see if I can do a better job. @Mr. Radpants 24156

Play close to .500 ball - could happen
Upgrade SS - going to happen
Sign Corey Knebel - not likely
Acquire a Cy Young Winner - not likely - what money is available to sign one, John?
Build to reach playoffs by 2027 - will happen

This salaries are a train wreck with massive contracts handed out to a few players with the rest of the team phigting for scraps. At least some of them are on one-year deals so they can be easily cut loose at the end of the season or traded away if/when we suck.

WE HAVE A TRADE TO ANNOUNCE

Didi Gregorius and his entire $14.5 million salary has been shipped to Milwaukee for left-handed reliever Andy Otero. This move saves some cash and allows Bryson Stott to move into the everyday starting shortstop role and promotes utility infielder Nick Maton from Lehigh Valley. Otero gives us a lefty reliever in a set-up role for closer Corey Knebel.
