Fucking awesome first two sets of games. Vandy/Louisville was a bit of a snoozer (3:40 to play nine innings), but the other three games needed late heroics to win. Tonight, Mike Papi walked it off for the Wahoos against a very pro Ole Miss crowd.

Vandy looked scary good last night. Their hitters were the best I've seen so far, especially that one guy who was dropping doubles all over the park. Buehler looked like a first round draft pick with fastballs painting the black at 96mph. His changeup was unhittable.

I don't think it is just the park. They went to far with the bat limitations and need to make another adjustment. I don't want the slowtitch softball style of game to return, but the current game is just as ridiculous in the opposite way.

They should just go with wooden bats. I don't know how they compare with the current bats in terms of power. The sound of contact with the current ones are godawful. You can't beat the satisfying crack of a wooden bat.

We have rare second Saturday CWS beisbol! Ole miss and virginia monsooned out, will restart at 2. Texas vandy play again at 7. If ole miss wins they play Sunday. By far the most awesome CWS ever.
