Kessler set the school record for passing TD's in a game on Saturday, with 7. Hard to get too excited about a win over Colorado, but it was a good showing nonetheless.
Indeed. It was a nice showcase for the offense, even if Colorado looked pretty much like a helpless victim. USC was scoring at will out there.
Still, a Kiffin-coached team would have stumbled and bumbled to an ugly 24-20 type win.
Still not sure what to expect from this team. They seem like the sort of team where, when things are going well at the outset, they feel good and things go REALLY well. But when things are tough, they get frustrated, go even more into a shell, and choke on seemingly simple things. IOW, I'm not sold on the mental toughness of this team. I think against a talented, hard-nosed opponent, they'll mostly roll on their backs and expose their belly (and proceed to get their shot pushed in), rather than rise to the challenge and fight like hell (even if ultimately losing). The exception is when the opposition steps on their own dick repeatedly, like Stanford.
