I could tell you it is because you have a few guys in some uncharacteristic slumps. Or that those two injuries to Farren and Bernal set you back. But the truth is that without a logo to rally around, your team just doesn't have much to play for.

For those that are interested in such things I picked up two pitchers last year and converted them to hitters.
Cliff Johnson is .264/.303/.484. LH hitter who I'm trying to get to learn LF. His fielding is terrible but he has big power and maybe in two years could be a DH.
Jerinomo Falacheira .260/.397/.604. RH hitter who I'm trying to teach 1B. Up to 25 at 1B. Might be a DH v LHP next year for me or a late call up as a PH specialist.

I knew Zhong would be at least a solid starter. He was a first rounder (2nd overall pick) at one point and has six pitches. Even if they are mediorce, guys with a lot of pitches seem to have moderate success in this game. He's a decent finesse GB pitcher.

Another AAA OF gone: calling up my top prospect McHeshi to play CF. He's just 21 and has combined between AA/AAA an OPS around 1.070 plus is 75 DEF in CF/3B. My 3B right now is out for five days so this sim he will start at 3B then probably move to CF after that. My current CF Royce Eddy just isn't getting it done. I was thinking about delaying his call up a sim or two because of arbitration but I just can't afford to have him in AAA any longer.
