Nice. I'm pretty much a token bandwagoner (Puerto Rican who grew up in Tampa) but my dad was raised in Brooklyn (despite being in a family of Mets fans) and he passed it on to me.

I'm not one to call anyone a bandwagon fan. Either you root for the team or you don't. When you started watching and why is irrelevant in my opinion. It's not a dick measuring contest.

Everyone has a reason for why they root for their team. I was born and live in NYS, wanted to be like my grandpa, and grew up watching those 90's World Series and followed along trying to fit in with my friends in grade school.

Then I stopped watching for a while in high school but got back into baseball a couple years back when I was in college and had the free time to watch probably 75% of the games (coincidentally they won the WS that year).

I find watching a day game on YES to be very theraputic. Hell, I even like Michael Kay at times.

That's a bloody fucking miracle. He is black man rob deer.

Rob Deer! That brought back memories. I used to call my fantasy baseball teams the
Rob Deer All-Stars, and I sure drafted a ton of HR hitters too. AVG. be damned.

I'm glad baseball is back. should be a better year for the marlins purely on the fact that it cant get much worse then last years debacle. the combination of a mostly solid starting staff and a pretty good bullpen should keep the marlins in alot of games. Jose Fernandez is just a beast, while there are some promising arms in eovaldi and alvarez (as well as some help on the way from the minors).

anemic offense will still be mostly anemic, but it does stand to reason that there can be some improvement. Combine this with the almost equally dysfunctional mets, and the decrepit phillies, and the fish could finish anywhere from last to third in the division. It would take a true miraculous case of everyone on the team putting the pieces together at the right time to expect anything more.

The opener on monday was mighty fun to watch. The marlins only managed to put up double digits 4 games last year. so it was definitely fun to see us come out firing, along with the usual brilliance from Fernandez.

This has been the case every year for past 4-5 years. Don't kid yourself @Wooly.

I always remembered looking at the back of his beisbol cards wondering good fucking gracious, does the guy make contact besides hit for power? Then I look at tony Gwynn or George Brett, two complete different animals. Deer could have learned a little from the previously mentioned.

Soriano looked bad, which doesn't surprise me. I don't expect him to be on the team next year.

CC looked average, but that first inning was such a cluster that I'll wait until his next start before I critique him too much.

There was a lot of sloppiness in this game. I know the team will get better, but I don't expect much from this team.

Not shocking, his body doesn't loosen up until it gets warmer. I think last year he hit .230 with 0 HRs in MAR/Arpil then hit .290 with 18 HRs in May and June.

He is what he is at this point, but a slow start is pretty much the norm for him at this point.

The Baltimore dew drinking crowd sure does love their O's. I think they're more popular than the Ravens down here.

We will be fine. Sure the late inning losses suck but it's only 2 games in. :p
Yeah that was tongue in cheek. I have concerns that Moose and Escobar are going to suck and that the bullpen will regress from last year, but that's no different from going into the season.

Really though, there's a fair chance I'll jump to conclusions too quickly on Ventura. The Royals really need him to thrive.

The key will be him kicking ass right from the get go. If he falters, we are fucked because the farm doesn't have major league ready arms...even Zimmer is a good year plus away.

Moose needs George Brett's foot in his ass like Gordon got a few years back and hosmer last year. Esky gonna esky, but infante has to be the constant catalyst for the offense to shine.

Fowler had some good at bats. Otherwise, Kuroda has had a solid outting.

The Yankees's offense has been quite sluggish thus far. And there was some more sloppiness on defense tonight. They'll get sharper as the season goes on, hopefully.

Still not a terrible outing for Kuroda. Offense is leaky though, can't get stopped by Feldman and Cossart like that.

Isn't he getting paid a shit ton too? Just cut the bastard ffs

13 million this year AND next year. Vesting option for '16 (55 games finished in '15 or 100 games finished in '14 and '15). Vesting option is another 13 million.
