that is why I am glad the Cubs didn't hire him, not sure I could stand to see him struggle

I hate it too. Such a good guy, and great corch. Wish he would've been hired by another team and not this god awful team.

Holy Grail across the street from the stadium is a great sports bar before and after games, Nick is the GM.

You the man @Packfan. I'm staying downtown so think it'll be cool to be able to walk to game although there are thunder storms so I'm sure the game will be fucked.

Kolten Wong hit his first career home run, today. The bases also just happened to be loaded. Grand slam.

It also ended a 20 inning scoring drought for the Cardinals, who were shut out @ home, in back to back games.

@doh what hotel are you at?

The Casino is also there but not walking distance. Later in the evening at lot of the players go to a place called Igby's, I think it is on 5th

In a shocking turn of events, Royals play like they give a fuck on E!SPN and on verge of winning.

sure loved the reminder of the 28 year absence from the playoffs.
Where did this offense come from? Gordon is having a solid season now. If only Butler and Hosmer could get on track.

Cubs need to do something with him. Hitting .350 in AA for the rest of the season is gonna do nothing for his development.
pretty sure they want to get him a certain number of AB's. plus his strikeout rate is around 25%.. they might want him to get that down a bit before sending him to AAA

manny hit a 450 bomb with quite a wicked bat flip today..

here is a picture with Eloy Jimenez - left and I believe G Torres on the right..the two were the top IFA free agent signings for the Cubs last year (Jiminez was ranked as #1 IFA)
both are 19 yrs old I believe - Jimenez = BEAST

Rodon #3 to White Sox
Turner #13 to Padres.

Sad that a team consisting of those two can't even make it to the postseason

Cubs setting up to make a major steal in the third?
bakauskas for the cubs tmrrw?

they go with 2 under slot picks tonight.. money they save can be thrown at him.. money could match a 10-15 the overall pick from what I am hearing..

bakauskas is a 10-15th overall type talent.. teams stayed away from him bcuz of signability.. Theo setting up for a 3rd rnd steal

The only thing keeping me from rooting for the cubs is that they play baseball. They are my spirit front office.

hearing cubs were gonna take flaherty in the second.. than fucking cardinals take him.. so they go under slot again.. crossing my fingers bakauskas says he will sign if we throw the money at him.. could still go under slot in rounds 9 and 10 if a lil more money is needed

Liking the Yankees draft. 3 MLB Top 100 guys despite the first pick being #55. Lindgren could probably replace Thornton now, DeCarr, Foley, Montgomery could all become slightly better than David Phelps, which isn't too bad. Plus we're about to blow serious cash in the IFA window on hitters, so stacking up on pitchers is good stuff.

loving the Cubs draft.. got top end high school pitchers rounds 4-7.. theo is a genius

by going underslot basically in the first 2 picks.. we could get these top prep pitchers.. NICCCCE

I think Theo has figured out with the new CBA and compensation changes this is one of the last ways to take advantage of the systems in place.
