I am telling you, the Padres get a quality 2B and they are in good shape for the long season, assuming they can tighten up the shitshow errors that seem to happen every game.

So many years' worth of bad teams, but this feels a lot like those teams of the late 90's, early 2000's in that they don't just lay down and die when they get down a few runs. Decent enough through the lineup, good bullpen, good front of the rotation guys, a few big bats. Nice buzz around town...

The '98 season started like this, too.

2B is fine. 1B and SS are terrible.

Sharp ground ball back to Lester. He snags it, ball gets stuck in webbing. Lester tosses glove to first. Shades of Terry Mulholland.

So now in the 8th Kelvin Herrera throws a 100mph fastball way inside to Brett Lawrie, then another behind him at 100 on the next pitch, after which he was tossed. While walking off the field after being tossed, Herrera pointed to his head and was yelling at Lawrie. Wtf mayne

And it's a close game at 2-1 in the 8th with the Royals losing. So unnecessary.

doh

THANK YOU Dermott McHeshi
I actually thought the slide from Lawrie wasn't all that bad. I thought he hit he bag and his feet came up.

Herrera really is a complete POS if he is still throwing at him. You get one chance to plunk him but two days later? That's a joke.

Fan characters, these are the worst. We have a bunch at Nats park, including one of these Monkey Puppet voodoo masters. There's also some prick in a blue sequin shirt and matching single glove that I want to throw off the Red Porch.

Kazmir hit Lorenzo Cain in the foot earlier today when he had an inside target which the Royals probably interpreted as him retaliating for the shit from yesterday, which is dumb. If you're throwing at a guy, you're not throwing at his foot.

But in other news Dale Sveum is managing the Royals right now because Ned Yost + their pitching and bench coaches have all been tossed lol

So the best team in baseball history needed extra innings to avoid being swept at home by the third-place team in the NL West

Is this a troll or something? It's from February, hopefully it has been changed.
