ASU football is like falling in love with your best friend. Every big game you can always hope this will be the night that something happens, but at the end of the day you're jerking off alone.
Same as Utah, except your best friend is a tease.

well, I'll eat crow.

After a initial drive to go up 7-0, it was all Furd. Stanford dominated on all fronts. Hogan looked like the Hogan of two years ago and Hundley became himself once again in the big games. All there really is to it. Not going to make excuses on how this was unfairly scheduled six days after a rivalry game. Stanford had to play their rivalry game too.

I can go on and on. Stanford without Ty Montgomery, Paul Perkins having 54 yards on 8 carries in the first half and still not giving it to him enough, Mazzone wtf? etclll.etc..

Just once again the Bruins had a chance to take a big leap forward and end up taking 5 steps back. Beating SC? Who cares. Who isn't beating those guys these days. Program needs to be bigger than that.

Six seniors leaving. Team will return a lot. #1 QB in HS coming in. Should be a stout defense.

Maybe preseason top 15? Who knows. Don't really care at the moment.

In Old T Pasadena right now. Hear there's a killer karaoke bar across there street. Might sing some Cranberries. To be continued.

still a young team and a good season. just so much unfulfilled potential (like every ASU team I've been alive for.) Can't really hate on bercovicci or kelly's performance. Game came down to giving up too many 20+ yard plays, just like OSU and UCLA.

not punching it in from the 1 really comes back to hurt you

I actually feel better about zona than UCLA and asu. College footbaw is such a mental game and if Oregon faced UCLA I think they might have overlooked them given the blowout earlier in the year (justly or not) and they are unfamiliar with ASU.

Zona has pwned them twice in a row so even with the playoff on the line I don't see them losing focus at all.

I actually think the pressure is just as much on Zona as Oregon. Pac SHAMPSHIP on the line and people are really going to hype Zonas players on campus. For Oregon it is more tense and BIDNESS like. Everyone expects them to be in the game and win.

Excited for the game. I think it could be really gr8. Hopefully mariota pwns Scooby this time around.

Watch mannion pwn the ducks tomorrow.

Get fucked, @bruin. I tried to warn you to soften the blow. Take a shot of whiskey for ur homie.

Don't worry, even if Oregon beats Zona we'll lose to Bama or crab rapist and the window will close for Oregon with Mariota gone. Enough pain to go around.

Looking at the past 3 South winners, I think Zona and ASU have the better futures. Prolly less talent but not by that much and way better coaching staffs. Rich Rod still winless against UCLA and corch with Backstreet Boys mic is 1-2 but overall, way more consistent. UCLA has a chance to put together 2 10 win seasons in a row but that's also 2 seasons where they shit away the division title. Last year was prolly better since they lost 2 games on the road and their losses were to conference champ, 11 win Oregon, and South champ ASU. This year they pissed 2 games away to Utah and Furd at home. Only team UCLA has looked consistently good against is SC and as bruin said, not like that means that much at the moment. Maybe UDub too.

No worries, Hundley has "done everything he wanted to." 0 wins against Furd and Oregon, thanks for the memories. Nah, but Hundley's the best QB the Bruins have had for a while. Gotta imagine a lot of his struggles are due to the fact that Mazzone turns into a NCAA online gamer at least 2 games a year and Mazzone's fucking son is the QB corch (never had a corching job before).

For real though, Mora's tenure has been much better than I expected. 28, possibly 29 wins, 3 straight bowl appearances, possibly 2 straight wins and 2 straight 10 win seasons, 3 wins vs. SC, 1 division title, blah blah blah. Better but at the same time, the team should've played better. At least 2 division titles.

Should've hired Leach

Hundley was overrated as shit. Peace bro. Take Mazzone with you.

Mora has done a great job. They lacking the punch to go with that fake swag doe.

Media fucked them. I remember the first game of the season and in Gameday they cut to the pregame warmups V Virginia and they were doing souljah boy or some shit acting like they earned their preseason ranking.

People told them they were great all year, and only when they got humbled did they show up and play. I think that happened again this week. Maybe they finally learn going in to next year.

bruin8282 right on Hundley. He'll be a God here because he beat SC. But in the big games (counting last year at home v ASU as bruin288 mentioned) he's really shit the bed. Bruins waiting in the wing for Rosen. Will have tons of talent on each side of the ball. (Also how the fuck doesn't Mazzone put in Myles Jack at RB early. That defense is exactly suited for Myles to run against)

Looked like UCLA out there (fans, coaches, players, urrbody). They beat USC, so as far as they're concerned, it's Mission Accomplished (R). Here's a chance for ur program to take a leap into the real big leagues, and the stadium looks pretty sparsely populated. WTF? If I'm a Bruin fan, as far as I'm concerned this is the First round of the playoff. Second round would be the CCG against Oregon. Win those two, and you're in the Final Four.

But - USC down, kicked in the head, so UCLA basically forgets that there's still a game to be played.

This kid is a true freshman. He's playing like he can make Ka'Deem Carey a distant memory. With how well he's doing, he just might. Carey's sophomore season was his breakout year, so Wilson's already got a head start.

So, if zona wins would they get a rose bowl appearance?
Jokes aside, no, since the best we can possibly hope for in the playoff is the #4 seed and that would put us in the Sugar Bowl.

Also, LMAO at Bercovici. "At the end of the day, we don’t lose to these guys." Both teams' seniors went 2-2 in rivalry games, you stupid twat.

At this point, I won't be too mad if we lose to Oregon. We're probably due for a loss after taking two straight against them. We're going to be in good bowl shape no matter what. 11-2 and 10-3 both get us damn good bowls.

Nah you'll get mad once @BigDmo chimes in.

I'm still worried about this match up. Yeah they'll be up for it but RichRod has been pooping on Oregon's D the pass two years. Not excited to see 3rd and long run conversions.

Gotta worry about today's game first. Oregon State is terrible this year but you never know. I'm still not sold on the defense.

Agreed. OSU played really well last year in autzen. I'm a little bit anxious. Natural for the players to be excited about a rematch next week but it won't mean a lot if they don't win tonight.

Come on robo qb

it's too bad this kid will never have the likes of Cam Jordan, Tyson Alualu, Zach Follet, Chris Conte, or Syd Qu'an on his college team. He could win some bowls with that arm

Go Ducks. I can't have my buddy's Cats making it to their first ever Rose Bowl. It's too fun to hold that over his head.
