A-1 From Day 1
Review of the atmosphere from a coworker who attended the game:

"Felt like a golf match with the occasional wave and some random drums"

Seriously, just fire his ass already. Get it over with. We all know that this team isn't making the semi-finals so this'll be the worst finish ever at a World Cup for the WNT. He's going to be the fall guy for the failure. Might as well just do it now and stop the bleeding ahead of time.

I just looked at the path for the US. God damn. Sweden, then likely Japan, and then probably the Netherlands again in the semis. Woof.

How little faith does the Corch have in the outfield players when the GK is the 6th shooter in PKs.

Filling a roster with aging stars and bringing younger exciting players along and leaving them on the bench, then crashing out in the first knockout game? Feels so familiar...

Give Vlatko the USMNT jerb!

I have only seen the highlights, but the US had a lot of good chance. Sweden's goal keep earned it today, for sure.

Leaving the young players on the bench plus not even inviting one of the leadings scorers in the NWSL in Ashley Hatch shouldn't surprise anyone when the team struggles to score.

Even though the US had chances, I'm glad they lost this badly because if they had advanced and lost later, leadership might think they were still OK. But going out like this hopefully leads to the changes needed so this team can return to dominance.

Pretty much. The lack of fire and desire all tournament was eye opening. The Japans would’ve smoked us anyway. Pugh, Sanchez, Rodman, Williams gotta lead the way forward.

ridiculous they didn't even bring Hatch. The federation put marketing dollars in front of success on the field lol

Until the Sweden match. They looked like a completely different team against Sweden and if they had played that well in the group stage, they would've beaten Vietnam by more, probably would've beaten the Netherlands and would've beaten Portugal.

The fact that Vlatko waited until the 119th minute to use two subs, presumably both for the penalty kicks (thus causing both to be cold for the shootout) and then didn't even use one of those substitutes for his first five shooters shows that the guy is just totally devoid of proper tactics.

Fire his ass. Hand Emma Hayes a blank check.
