Rizzo to yanks
The Dodgers are making significant progress on a deal to acquire stars Max Scherzer and Trea Turner from the Nationals, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN (Twitter link). Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic echoes Passan’s report but adds that “hurdles remain” in getting the deal across the finish line. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune suggests the Padres — reported to be on the verge of a Scherzer acquisition this afternoon — are now pessimistic about their chances of landing the three-time Cy Young award winner.
It’s a stunning development, one that would have massive repercussions in the National League playoff race. Scherzer and Turner are arguably the top two players on the trade market. The Dodgers acquiring both in a package deal — just a few hours after their division rivals had been expected to land Scherzer — would be a league-altering move if the deal is pushed across the finish line.
He probably used his NTC because he has PTSD from giving up salamis to relievers in Petco.
Flashbacks to when the Twins traded Johan Santana for Carlos Gomez and three guys that never had more than a cup of coffee in the bigsHudson is meh. Hope they pickup Berrios.
Disappointing deadline.
What a deadlilne
I’m guessing the asking prices were just too high. They were probably fucked this year anyway with all the pitching injuries.Disappointing deadline.
errybody watch the live broadcast cause they not gonna replay a grown ass man "falling" from level 3.I’m going to a game on Sunday, not sure which day the Rockies will be playing doe

HMMMMMMI’m going to a game on Sunday, not sure which day the Rockies will be playing doe
The idea that he is not an mvp candidate is dumb. The FS1 announcers, last night, were touting Tatis as an MVP candidate and ahead of Bryce Harper. Why? Because he plays premium defensive position and Harper doesn't. Completely glossing off that Tatis leads the league in errors.

What possible argument is there for Harper to be an MVP candidate?
