Would if i could, not possible.Something tells me OU is going to put prospect fail rate to 0 for the Conquistadors.
Lisbon got the best defensive outfield in the league
Problem is, I can't figure out where to put him in the top half of my lineup, and he wasn't doing well when he was up there.
If I move him up in front of Carter/Johnson to give him some protection, then the top of my lineup is mostly lefties. So I'm seeing how he does at the bottom of the lineup, batting in front of Frank who's been doing well at the plate so far.
Since you're not ready to win yet, I'd just get the most at bats possible for guys that are going to be playing parts in your future. Wouldn't worry about production yet, that will come.
This is pretty close to what I started the season with, I've just been moving guys around trying to figure out where they produce best, so that when next year comes around I know where guys appear to be most comfortable.Rivera
Langille
Johnson
Lips
Carter
Keitel
Frank
Orozco
Prowse
thats what I would do
Too much power for leadoff. Would go Nutball 2, Lips 4 or Nutball 1, Lips 2.
Yeah, but I dont think he's been the starter at any significant time either. I could be wrong there...Langella ain't new. He's running up on his arb year, possibly after this season. He hasn't been great though, so his extension, if you so choose, should be cheap
Yeah, but I dont think he's been the starter at any significant time either. I could be wrong there...
He hasn't been performing that well at the plate, so we'll see what his demand is when we get there. I haven't checked his defensive stats yet though to see if he's worth keeping around as a replacement depending on how cheap I can get him
Yep. I'd do the same. Get your young guys/guys like Langille or Carter you think can help in the future as much experience as possible. Also helps to see if some of those guys can cut it in the WBL.OU brought up a good point about just getting ABs. I'd put your 3 best young hitters 1-3 in that order. Get them as many ABs as possible.
I think he could be a good not great defensive SS. I think his arm limits him a little but the range/turn DP are both elite. 2B wise he should be the best defensive 2B in the game.
My issue with him is he ever going to hit? He has 970 PA and a empty .250 average with a regular BABIP. His ratings say he should hit more but he never has. It's almost like 5 at any raw hitting skill and things would be a lot better. Maybe his lack of speed hurts with his average is something I've seen before.
Carrillo was like that, but he was basically the best defensive OF in the league and still put up 3+ WAR a season. His defensive ratings basically mimic Joe Kirk and kirk was a gold glover last season and has only had one season with a negative zone rating.
I agree with the hitting. Davies on my team is another guy whose ratings would make you think he would hit more than he does. I think there are some guys that just never perform up to their rankings.
I selected Fernandes as one of my 3 SP's in the in-game All Star ballot. I don't know if we use that ballot at all but it was a fun walk-through.
We do. But we have all the way up until the sim before the all star game to vote. We've used it the last 2 years although last year only like 3 people voted
Naz says ur wrongjust waiting for his arm to blow up.. not rooting for it.. its just inevitable with that stamina
Naz is the exception. not the ruleNaz says ur wrong
thats the tricky partI don't think that's true, but I can see how you would think that. The low stamina pitchers aren't necessarily injury prone, but the injury prone pitchers end up with low stamina. The ones who always had low stamina generally do ok if you don't over work them.
Imho opinion, Macias is wbl ready, Payne is AAA ready, and Brett needs more time in AAI have 3 guys that I've moved to AA earlier this year and one of these looks like he's ready to come to AAA already. Problem is, two of them are OFers which I'm mostly set on.
Luis Macias
Plus defense at 2nd and 3rd, serviceable at SS. I might play him at SS for the remainder of his minor league career to see if I can get a bump at the position. Even if I dont, he'll be a great utility for me to have. OSA has him already almost at his potential, which is why I'm hurrying him through the minors. He should finish the year at AAA and be ready for the WBL by next year (hopefully). So far in AA, through 186 ABs, he's batting .339/.439/.570. He is striking out at a rate higher than I'd like, but he's reached his potential on avoid K's, so I think he is what he is. Him and Langille should be my MIF duo for the foreseeable future.
Jim Payne
Payne was my one of my first round picks in 2048. He played well, not great his first year, and then really figured it out this season at A level. I moved him to AA earlier this year and he's been solid so far. After about equal time in A/AA this year, I think I called him up at the right time and might need the rest of the year at AA before he's ready for AAA early next year. If he stays on his projected path, I hope he'll be ready for the WBL by 2051 ASG, if not before. I'm not in hurry to rush him though, because the only two positions he's rated for is RF and LF, where Nutball and Rivera are now. I want to play him at 1st for a while to see if he can get better there, but it might be too late. If not, he'll be a nice DH/platoon OF for me.
Mason Brett
A international guy I was able to sign 2 years ago who is finally developing. His defense is what intrigued me about him most when I signed him, 80/70/60 in the OF and 55 at first base. He's been playing CF for me at AA, though looking at his IF ratings right now, I might try and get him some time at 3B or SS. Of the 3, he seems the most ready to be moved up to AAA. I wish his OBP was a little higher, and hopefully as he reaches his potential it will. He could be on the team for Spring Training to see how he does and could be a starter next year if he plays well, depending on how FA goes for us.
What does everyone else think? Am I on the right track with these guys?
