Did Duarte have that good of a season? Would've thought of he stayed and had a monster season as the featured receiver, he'd be a first or second rounder with dat size.

Tuiasosopo already paying off. Landed a big time local QB yesterday. I knew we needed to bring in two for this class and it looks like we will.

Based on the article, they're talking about California University of Pennsylvania.

Don pellum just left our slab gallery. He's looking for some translucent quartzite for a backlit bar. Heh. I wanted to ask him about his prevent defense  but he dipped out too quick.

Larry Scott acted like it was a big deal that every football game on the network will be broadcasted and that the mens conference tournament will be in HD and every game of that tournament will be broadcasted (unlike last year when most games weren't shown live)

what a fucking tool.

not a single notable publication even picked oregon to win the north. even if you think oregon is on the downswing, which is understandable, that's pretty amazing in my opinion. oregon could have the best collection of skill players in the country. prukop would have to be significantly worse than expected to mess the offense up. oregon won every full game adams played but michigan state, and they almost pulled it off when he was clearly hurt. lockie/alie (walk-on) are not D1-A talents. the defense was horrible and at the very least should be just as bad. no idea the impact hoke will make i can see the ducks losing 4 games again, but it's insane that a team with this much talent isn't picked to win the division by anyone. they've beaten stanford 2 years in a row and washington i think 13? they also miss UCLA, who is the south's #1 team via the same publications.

Barring major injury, if UCLA doesn't win the South it will be a rather disappointing year.

Miss Ore and Wash from the North. Get Stanford (early in the year) and SC at home.

Agreed. Of everything I've seen, there's a seemingly even split between people picking you guys and us to win the South. But to me, the Bruins are the clear favorites, to me. New coaching staff, new QB, and brutal fucking schedule for SC.

I doubt either UCLA or USC wins the South.

I for one, welcome our new Buffalo overlords.

I doubt USC even gets second in the South. Helton already on the hot seat because the guy who hired him is out the door, and he's lost his last two games. When Saban pushes in his shit in Dallas, it'll be his 3rd consecutive loss. We replace a lot of defensive starters and our best star is a twink KR and CB. There's even something of a QB controversy brewing as heir apparent Max Browne is being challenged by the relatively unheralded Sam Darnold. Darnold has the South OC pedigree, having played his HS ball at San Clemente, but of course Browne was the #1 QB prospect coming out of HS.

I'm sure Utah will come tantalizing close to winning the South and then fuck it up in the end.

Darnold is the truth. Politics will probably get Browne the job, but Darnold might be better.

Was Darnold the QB of San Clemente when they and La Habra went back and forth in that barnburner CIF Final? IIRC, it was one of those "last team with the ball wins" kind of games. San Clemente scored with like less than a minute left, but La Habra came back and threw a last-second TD to win. I remember thinking the San Clemente QB definitely looked like D1 material.

Would be interesting to see what Browne has. However, the fact that he never seriously challenged Kessler (who is most definitely not NFL material) for the starting job gives me pause. Loved Kessler, and the fact that he was a gamer, but damn son, he's like 6-0 and 190, with a decidedly average arm and below-average feet. If you're supposed to be an NFL draft pick in the making, a guy like that should be easy to unseat.

Oh well, maybe Browne goes the way of Mitch Mustain and never gets a chance to see the field.

OTOH, Darnold might get fucked over like Aaron Corp and thrown into the fire and basically fail his audition and never see the light of day again. At least we could use him at other positions, a la John Fox.

Yeah, that was Darnold. He's a big kid probably around 225/230. He can run too.
