My thoughts on tonight's action:

• After a boring start, the first round of the playoffs has turned out OK.

• In particular, Miami-Charlotte has blossomed into the best first round match-up. I find myself rooting for both teams

• I hope the purple shirt guy contracts Wades (or is it WAIDS, I can't remember)

• I don't know who root for between Indy and Toronto. I would feel bad if Toronto fell short again, but I like the resurgence of Paul George. Stay out of this Drake.

• The Clippers (minus CP3 and Blake Griffin) showed a great deal of heart and made Portland work for it. Austin Rivers showed more grit than the entire Houston Rockets

• Austin Rivers' eye got jacked up. I mean, damn, it's nasty

• Lillard is Russel Westbrook without the violence

• Luke Walton is the head coach of the Lakers. I feel old.
